Not unlike like the Cliff Swallows of Goya heralded 7,500-mile migration to San Juan Capistrano, GoneAway IPA journeys through the seminal relevance of the Pacific Northwest’s piney, dank & bitter resins in its return to our taproom and shop. While there’s comfort in seeing the familiar floating green cacti & yellow lightning bolt, it’s not nostalgia tugging at you, it’s your olfactory memory snapping back to that first swig of West Coast IPA claiming dominance in your relationship with beer. Big smell Chinook & Simcoe bolted to iron-clad bitterness is irreplaceable.

Admin Note - This beer was previously known as "Heyoka" and "Senita" but has been changed by the brewery to this current name. All ratings will be housed under this listing.

Aromas are slightly mellow blend of citrus, resin and MJ with some dry grain. Flavors are similar to nose, very well balanced between sweet, bitter and carbonation. Full mouth and slightly soft carbonation. Very nice beer.

On tap at Half Acre, pours a hazy golden with a small white head. Aroma brings out piney hops, dank notes, and biscuity malt. Flavour has herbal hops, muted notes, and light pine. Earth and floral. It's alright.

Orange with a creamy, sticky white head. Low level gusher. Love the aroma—a nice mix of citrus and papaya. Taste is moderate bitter the whole way through. Medium body, slightly watery texture. Good.

Tap at Craft heads. Nice. Pine, bit grassy. Taste is more subdued, nice hoppy bitterness, but some light sweet fruity character too. Rerate at Titans. Nice citrus fruity bitterness. Lots of grapefruit, juicy and lovely. Bit of pine too. More citrus.

Drank right out of the can, at first! Big pounder can too! $3 at vintage, nice place. No obvious odor on the commencement but the taste is big large and in charge. I just can't believe how close IPAs have come to imperial stuff. Yes, this is so vahoot in its nature. Verdy samwitch, heheh. Makes me want a vogininth. Finishes like a von VPL. One big kick in the behind brewed beer. Terribly insulting. Smack me around rototiller. Yea, can't detect anything special in the nose. Overall, a perfect IPA HAH HAH! NO LIE......

US Pint can at home on 1st Aug 2019, poured into straight sleeve. Very slight haze to the golden body, smooth white topping. Hoppy little number, piney and bitter from start to finish.

Tall can from Whole Foods, Kensington. Pours clear copper, white froth. Immediate crystallised orange, malt on the nose. Taste continues with a largely sweet malt, orange and bitter resin character in a pre-haze West Coast IPA fashion. Fine for style, but not getting my pulse racing.
