Hercules Double IPA is not for the faint of heart. It is, however, fit for the gods. Hercules delivers a huge amount of hops from start to finish. Its hefty backbone of nutty, malty sweetness balances its aggressive hop profile.

BOTTLE 355 ML from Bov. Bottled 24-SEP-2014. Red-amber slightly hazy with tan smallish head. It is hoppy enough after the pour, with notes of sweet citrus and mango, menthol candy, but after a couple of minutes the malts totally dominate - lots of caramel and marmalade. The taste is malty right from the start, overly sweet fruit with a touch of alcohol and a somewhat harsh moderate bitterness. Not bad, anyway.

330ml bottle at home. Clear amber color with off white - light beige head. Aroma is heavy hoppy, pine, spruce - juniper, light fruity, light caramel malty. Sweet and bitter taste like the aroma, little more fruity. Medium oily body with sot carbonation.

355 ml bottle at Man in the Moon, Stockholm.
Dark amber to copper, hazy body, with a medium, creamy, white head.
Delicious, complex aroma of citrus, stone fruits, berries, tropical fruits, vanilla, caramel.
Taste is also amazing, with about the same aromas and adds pine and even more smooth malt notes of vanilla, nuts, biscuit.
Medium, oily mouthfeel, with an average carbonation.
Finishes bitter, dry, zesty, piney, with some sweet malts.

Amazing! Very very smooth, the ABV is completely hidden. The hops are very fruity, with lovely stone fruits and berries and the malt backbone is one of the smoothest and most distinctive I’ve experienced in an IPA so far! I imagine this to age very well. One of the very best IPAs I’ve ever had!

Bronze colour with small head but lasting laces. Peach and strawberry aroma, also grapefruit. Full bodied malt taste, fruit and soap hides much of the bitterness and alcohol at first. Long aftertaste.

Smak och doft av humle, tall, citrus, mango och ananas. Rund och len, stor sötma med fin och kraftig beska med smak av grapefrukt och tallbarr. Alkoholen slår igenom en aning. Riktigt gott.
