Bottle, 75cl corked. A lightly hazy golden colored beer with a big, quite fluffy white head. Nice lacing. The aroma is on the Belgian fruity side, lightly grassy and peppery. Peach, apple, alcohol, some bready malts and a touch of dried apricot. It's full bodied and nicely carbonated, semi dry and with a decent bitterness. Some alcohol warmth too. Fruity flavor with pepper hints, hints of herbs and grass, bready malts and some dried fruits. Lasting finish. Sure a decent brew in the Belgian style, but there's not much IPA going on. Drinks nice. 230818

hazy yellow, white head. belgian yeast, lemongrass, flowers in the aroma. sort of like a belgian tripel with a bit of belgian wit mixed in. aroma is fine though flavor is malty, flowery, belgian yeast, quite belgian. this is not really ipa'ish, but they might've put in a little bit of extra hops i don't know. tastes like any odd gouden carolus. well, typical belgian strong beer stuff, and made by het anker, it can't go all wrong, and it did not.

Holdt stilen gjennom hele "The Good Shepherd".

Noe uklar brun farge med hvitt skum. Lukter svakt sitrus og grapefrukt. En relativ lett og mild IPA. Lett bitter avslutning.

Bottle, 8.0%. Mild citric hop aroma. Cloudy pale yellow colour. Big creamy stable white head. The flavour is malty but also has a sharp bitterness. A little citric as well. Finishes with a distinct Belgian yeast note. Very good mouthfeel.

Bottle. Pours quite hazy pale straw with airy but stable white head. Clear aroma of hops and grain, with touches of yeast, flower and coriander. Bitter, hoppy flavour with grassy and acidic notes and touches of yeast and malt. Bitter and spicy aftertaste with grainy touches. Okay.

Bottle 75 cl. Pours a cloudy golden with a dense and stable white head. Nose is spicy and slightly tart - rather than citrusy. You definitely get a Belgian feel! Medium body, fruity, lively carbonation, lots of bittering hops, but they remain just that: bitter. No refinement or aromatics, just harsh plain bitterness. This really is no different from one of the hoppier Belgian Blondes, and it’s pretty much everything that has made me grow tired of Belgian beers. 071016
