Kleur 9 EBC.

Courtesy of tderoeck. The blonde session ale in this series, with a sticky, snow white, stable head and pale golden blonde, clear robe. Aroma shows considerable acetaldehyde (green apple, freshly cut grass), raw potato, honey, white grape, cauliflower. Soft fruity taste, apple peel, sourish touch, malt sweet, bit yeasty, powder sugar sweetishness, lean and thinnish body, sourishness continuing in the finish which otherwise has a more malty than hoppy character. Technically more or less correct, but could do with more hops. Forgettable.

Sampled from bottle @ Tim needs to get rid of his ticks tasting. Clear pale golden color, medium to full sized white head that lasts for quite a while. Smell and taste malts, a hint of fruit, yeast, with a soft bitter touch in the end. Average body and carbonation. Drinkable but quite boring.

Thanks to tderoeck! 330 ml. bottle sampled @ “Tim needs to get rid of his ticks” Tasting. Enjoyed together with tderoeck, Benzai & Alengrin. Tasted the entire current line-up of Loemelaer (9 beer currently) after each other. Clear light citrus golden, crazily pale like many of their other beers, excessively so. Nose is dull yeast, sweet sugar?... Taste is fizzy dull yeast that makes me think more of DE than BE, light chemical taste, vegetable, lemon,… Fizzy,… Boring & far too artificial tasting , makes me more think of extracts than actual malts etc. I didn’t care for it.
