26 ounce can. Pours a pitch black color with a medium tan head. A bit of roasted malts in the nose, licorice. Big flavors, heavy roast, salty, lactose, vanilla, a zingy metallic flavor that I love. Very big, very smooth. Lovely.

Poured up on tap at the brewpub where it exhibits a deep dark chocolate colored body that supports a tan head of foam. The aroma offers up dark chocolate, some booze, a dash of earthy salt and then wafer thin caramel and vanilla notes. The taste delivers smooth sweetened dark chocolate. It then moves into a blend of velvety dark chocolate, booze, salt and dark roasted malts. Toward the finish the tasty smooth dark chocolate persists as thin ribbons of caramel and vanilla are noticed. Fun sipper.

Draft pour at Snallygaster 2018. Poured a very dark brown, almost black color with a small tan head. Aroma was chocolate roasted malts, light bakers chocolate. Light sweetness, roasted notes, chocolate, light herbal malt character.

Roast, caramel. Seaweed adds some weird vibe here, and not sure it's good. Pours black with good head and lacing. Bittersweet finish. Tap at Snally.

Can - Chocolate and woody. Jet black brown with a decent light brown head. Dark roasty chocolate and a bitter finish. Not really getting all the adjuncts.

16 oz. can, pours black with a small tan head. Aroma is loaded with seaweed, followed by lactose and a touch of roast. Flavour is rather briny, along with lactose, medium roast, and seaweed. Medium roast, with a briny palate. Meh.

Can. Dark brown and with rich milk chocolate. On the palate, lots of dark chocolate, touch of salt, and a mellow seaweed note. The chocolate is really rich, body pretty good, and a touch of saltiness. Solid, tasty brew.
