Dark golden colour with lasting head. Aroma and flavour have loads of pickle juice and dill. Sharp. Slightly vinegary. Weird.

Bottle. Clear, deep golden body with a medium sized off-white head. Refreshing aroma of acidic berries and wood. Taste is rather acidic with lots of fresh berries, wood, mild funk, fruity acidity. Fine body and tart fruity aftertaste. Perhaps a bit too much on the acidic side by the end of the bottle, still a nice one.

One of BrewDog’s new sour experiments under the Overworks label (brewed elsewhere), thanks tderoeck for sharing at Bar Beenhouwer. Snow white, half-open, mousy head lacing in dots over an almost clear, amber-hued peach blonde beer. Aroma of crushed gooseberries but in a ‘green’, unripe kind of way, strong scent of fresh green beech or linden leaves, redcurrant, rhubarb, kefir, rosehip tea. Sour onset, quite sharp and redcurrant-like, even lemony and a bit puckering, lacking the sweet aspect of ripe gooseberries; medium carb, wheaty malt base dried by the ongoing sourness. A rosehip-like, almost ‘metallic’ effect also linked to that green tree leaf aspect in the nose comes up in the end, hovering over this lingering sour, lactic and fruity sourness, drying the palate. Typical postmodern fruited ‘simple’ kettle sour, decent enough as such, but a bit weird, lacking in the ‘jammy’, ‘purple’ aspect I was hoping for with ripe gooseberries in mind.

14/VIII/19 - on tap @ Bar Beenhouwer, BB: n/a - (2019-1222) Thanks to the Ghent beer crew for sharing today's beers!
Clear orange to pinkish beer, small creamy off-white head, pretty stable, non adhesive. Aroma: bit dusty, malty, soft acidity, little fruity, some gooseberries indeed but not sure I would've guessed the fruits in a blind tasting. MF: ok carbon, medium body. Taste: oh boy, that's pretty sour, some yoghurt, metallic as well, fruity. Aftertaste: bitter, gooseberries indeed, dry, more metallic, very acidic, some tannins, berries, not bad, but not super great either.
