Bottle. Clear reddish-amber color with big creamy tan head. Aroma is slight ham, hint of salt. Taste is ham, salty, some caramely malts, with a full body. Natural carbonation. Extremely drinkable for 8.7%. A very tasty and harmonious Doppelbock, with a nice saltiness that becomes a bit overwhelming after a few sips. I like!

Pours a darkamber color, sweet-smokey malty aroma and flavor, some fruity like esters. Sweet finish.

Voluminös malzig rauchiger Antrunk mit angenehmer milder Süße, tolle Harmonie und süßer Kombination mit der Rauchigkeit. Geringe Herbe, sehr weich, süffig. Die Malzigkeit steigt, genauso die Süße. Darunter leidet die Rauchigkeit, die weitestgehend verschwindet. Voluminöser Doppelbock, wohl einer der besten den ich bisher probiert habe. 11/14/12/13/12/14

1,0 l bottle (8.7% abv) from P&M Getränke, bottled on 18/10/2014. Clear, reddish amber with a medium large, foamy, slowly diminishing, tan head and nice lacings on the glass. Pleasant but not that intense aroma of raisins, nuts and candy sugar with gentle, smoky hints in the background. Sweetish, smoky taste of candy sugar, molasses, coal, raisins and prunes. Short, slightly bitter and gentle, pleasant, alcoholic and warming finish. Medium to full body, oily and creamy texture, soft carbonation. Rather good and quite interesting due to its smokiness. Pleasant, sweet taste to which the smoked malts add that special complexity. Recommendable!

Aroma is a bit musty and somewhat sweet with malty notes and some syrup. Flavour is malty and sweet with some alcohol and syrupy tones. Rather sweet dp; there’s some alcohol to balance it though.
Next day; drinking the rest of the bottle. Now this is a bit better and there’s some mint in the finish. Also some chocolate tones.

Pours dark reddish brown with a smooth white head. Aroma of sweet bready malts, earthy notes, berries and hints of ash. Taste is smooth, malty and bready with sweet syrupy notes, caramel, berries and earthy notes. Finish is sweetish, caramely and syrupy. Decent doppelbock.

Bottle: Poured a deep black brown with a huge off white head. Aroma was thick with roasted malt, hints of nuts, and sweetness. Taste rich roasted malt and nut flavor.
