We have traversed the globe to Mexico where we celebrate Brett’s love of South American food and the citrus zing of the mighty lime.
Clean and crisp with refreshing tangy limes and a moreish briny finish, this is our perfect summer beer. It originally took inspiration from Sleeping Lemons and the beautiful preserved lemons we use, but the idea developed into a cleaner beer, taking the Corona and lime wedge and stepping it up a notch.
Brewing a beer around the taste of lime naturally led us to using this beautiful citrus fruit, utilising both the fresh pulp and the zest. A clean and crisp base was achieved by using a lager yeast with the lime building an addictive tang to the pallet and a gose inspired flurry of salt adding to the finish. What is it? A lager, a gose, a sour... Who cares. Put simply it is one of the finest accompaniments for the British summertime.

Draught@Huismann, Kokkola. Hazy pale yellow colour, small white head. Aroma is lime, some tart wooden notes, mild berries as well as some lactic tones. Flavour is slightly acidic lime with some tart wood and mild berries to it. A bit lactic tones too. Refreshing.

Can from Qwerty Beer Box. Aroma certainly evidences the lime. Light gold. Thin foamy white head. Medium bitter with a zesty sour streak. Underlying malts. Light-medium bodied. Slick. Average carbonation. Long dry astringent finish. Nice enough.

2/6/2020. Sample courtesy of the SHIG, cheers! Pours clear pale green gold with a small bubbly white head. Aroma of lime cordial and light beer with a touch of herb. Moderate sweetness and slight tartness. Light body. Drinks like a cheap lager and lime. Not one if Wild Beers high points.

Can, courtesy of MiP. Pours clear light golden with airy white head. Clear aroma of yeast and limes, with mild touches of hops. Bitter flavour of hops, with intense dry notes of limes and sweetish touches of yeast. Citric and estery aftertaste with mild hoppy notes. A decent fruit beer.

Tap at BeerGeek. With Gurthnar. Pale golden, slightly hazy body. Dusty aroma, almost... pilsnerish, maybe vague citrus underneath. Surprising taste and not in a particularly good way. Sweetish radler-style candy lemon-lime, too candysih, maybe vague tart and salty touches, but I might be imagining it knowing what's there. All in all, the final impression is of a glorified, overpriced radler.
