Eine Ode an das Malz – Genuss wie von einem anderen Stern: Die Malzstraße, das Wiener Lager von Brew Age.
Schon beim ersten Blick fällt die tiefgoldene, leicht rötliche Farbe des Bieres auf und stellt klar: Die Malzstraße ist kein 08/15 Massenbier.
Der Hauptakteur bei unserem Wiener Lager ist das Wiener Malz. Diese Malzsorte erzeugt einen komplexen aber angenehmen Körper mit Noten nach Biskuit. Die dezente Hopfenbittere sorgt für Balance und Erfrischung.
Und weil wir der Meinung sind, dass eine elegante Hopfenblume dem Bier die Krone aufsetzt, haben wir es mit feinstem Aromahopfen aus der Hallertau veredelt.

33 cl bottle. Pours hazy orange with a small white head. Aroma is mild toasted and light fruity. Bitter, toasted and light hoppy. Bitter and dry finish.

Bottle@Ungstrups - Golden orange fuzzy pour with white head. Sweet fruity and malty aroma and taste, some citrus notes, grassy hoppy, pretty high carbonation, dry fruity finish.

Bottle from Bier-Deluxe. Clear golden with an off-white head. Aroma is sweet, malty, light caramel and light hoppy - grass. Flavor is medium sweet and light bitter. Dry and light bitter finish. The carbonation is a bit high. 260715

Ein Wr. Lager aus Wien ist immer eine Freude. Dieses habe ich auf einem Bierfest am Wr. Donaukanal im Sommer 2015 das erste Mal getrunken und jetzt habe ich mir wieder eine Flasche im größten Wr. Getränkemarkt gekauft. Damals hat es mir nicht besonders geschmeckt, da es in der heißen Jahreszeit schnell zu süß wirkt. Jetzt im WInter finde ich den karamell-malzigen Körper nicht übel. Dadurch wird es schön vollmundig und hat lässt eine angenehme Schwere auf der Zunge. Nicht schlecht

Bottle @ Van Moll Brewpub shared with Erwin Van Moll. Hazy a bit rusty orange color, average sized white head. Not a lot of aroma. Taste is pretty faint as well. Hard to detect anything other than malts and a slight sweet-bitter with a touch of caramel. Meh.

Bottle 330ml. @ home. [ As Brew Age Malzstrasse ].[ Trade by Beerhunter111 ]. Unclear matt - golden medium amber orange color with a large, frothy, good lacing, mostly lasting, white to off-white head. Aroma is moderate malty, grain, hay, caramel, sour malt, light grass - green grass. Flavor is moderate sweet and light to light moderate bitter with a average to long duration, fruity, caraml, grain, sour - fruity malt, thin. Body is medium, texture is oily to watery, carbonation is soft. [20150105]

Many thanks for this bottle to Beerhunter111. Pours unclear light amber with a big creamy off-white head. Fruity aroma, yeasty. Taste is the same fresh yeasts witha light bitter finish.
