This ale shows huge malt body, with notes of caramel and toffee, complemented by ample hop bitterness to support it. When young, it is a hoppy treat with plenty of citrus and pine; cellared for a few years and Cellar Dweller gracefully ages into a rich, round reward for patience, hinting at flavours of tawny port.

Kind of boozy, even for a barleywine. Nice flavour all around but not as good as some others

Hazy brown with little light brown head. Aroma is nuts, christmas spices, phenols, vanilla, chocolate or caramel, brown sugar, some raisins, dried figs. Taste is slight spicyness with lots of brown sugar sweetness and some spice bitterness, a little smoky. Heavy and oily. Very nice. Version from 2010: Aroma is the same but less. Taste is a little sweeter and less spicy. Apart from that, very similar.

A reddish copper barleywine with a thin mocha head. In aroma, sweet fruity caramel malt with vinous notes, extra boozy, light licorice, meaty and musky. In mouth, a nice sweet caramel malt with loads of resinous floral hops, grapefruit pulp, light woody notes, alcohol warmth, very nice. Bottle at Spinrsx tasting.

Bottle. Pours a dark brown with small beige head that diminishes quickly. The aroma is roasted malt and dark fruit. Medium mouth, oak, dark fruit, hides booze very well, very good.
