Napoleon Complex is a small-statured pale ale with a larger-than-life attitude. Ignoring the industry standard of diminutive hop presence and mild manner, this pale ale will have most IPA’s contemplating their inadequacy. Little beer, big flavor, even bigger ego.

Can. So call it what you may, this beer is nothing more than an average IPA.

From tap at BeerTemple, Amsterdam. Aroma is citrussy hops with light bready malt, soft tropical notes, orange, bit grassy. Pretty dry bitter finish, medium bitter. Pleasant example of the style.

Some lime and musk. Leftover resin but not much hops here like legless frogs. Light bitter finish. Golden with big initial head. Can.

Pithy orange nose. Clear amber, medium head. Orange, apple core, grass. Medium body, easy carbonation. There's something about this I just don't like.

Hop-forward pale ale, but lacking much character beyond the moderately citric and piney hops. Very session IPA-ish, in fact, giving up a smidgen of a malt base, instead offering up strong veins of grapefruit and resin. Finishes dry and a bit seltzer-ish, with a mild hop bitterness that fades into nothingness. Drinkable, but instantly forgettable.
