50 cL bottle. Pours hazy orange with a huge off-white head. Aroma is fruity, estery and light malty. Malty flavoured, fruity and with a different fruity note than the classic estery notes. Sweet and mild acidic finish.

Bottled@Quinns. Hazy deep orangeish amber colour with small white head. Aroma is fruits, wheat, mild peat, smoked wood and some spicyness. Flavour is fruits, what, sweet and some mild hops and peated notes. Quite strange, but a nice balance in it.

Bottle: Amber coloured, relatively quickly collapsing mid-sized off-white head; sweetish-sourish wheaty nose with a touch of smoke - indeed - in the background; moderate sweetish-sourish flavour, a bit sticky, but nevertheless creating an empty MF; sweetish-fruity and caramelly finish with a mild smoky touch. Not too bad, but lightyears away from Bamberg......

Bottle. Standard spicy banana aroma. Cloudy orange, head dissipates fast. Relatively light body, mellow mouthfeel. Banana and bread flavor, a hint smoke retronasal - fairly minimal really. Quick fruity finish. Wrong expectations I guess - I had hoped for something along the line of a Schlenkerla rauch

bottle, Dank an MoritzF! Cloudy golden-brown colour with a large and persistent off-whitehead. Fruity malty nose. Full-bodied, pleasantly yeasty, wheaty and slightly fruity. Hints of caramel and a tiny timid touch of smoke. I could hardly notice anything whisky-ish about the beer, and why do they spell it whiskey when the whisky malt is from Scotland? Lots of questions - but it still is a nice Hefeweizen.

Thanks to MoritzF for this bottle. Looks good, the beer in the glass also. Quite turbid, nice head. Starts strong-malty, quite yeasty, a bit nuty-earthy. Well balanced finish, still very yeasty, modest fruity. Good hefeweizen!

(bottle) Cloudy, amber to copper colour with a big but collapsing off-white foamy head. Slightly dusty wheat-malty aroma with very restrained fruity (citrus) notes, a tinge of bubblegum, cloves and a delicate touch of peat and iodine. Slightly sweet and sour flavour, light to medium bodied with a moderate carbonation. Yeasty and moderately wheaty taste with subtle fruity accents and shy peaty notes; quite dry wheaty and slightly fruity finish with a faint whiff of Whiskey flavours. Likeable brew but I expected more emphasis on the Whiskey malt. 20.XI.09
