Bottle at home, from onlinesville some time back, 06/11/20. Black with a big old tan covering that stays for the show. Nose is mellow roast, whiskey barrel tones, dried fruits, chocolate, toffee, light dusty funk manure. Taste comprises dusty fruit rinds, light spice, booze tunes, cocoa powder, raisins, fruit cake, subtle barrel. Medium bodied with some boost, fine massaging carbonation, semi drying close with a balanced kiss of whiskey laden alcohol. Solid sipper ... drinks easy for the double digit ABV ... mellow barrel and has clearly aged well ... dunno why the other London wankers hated so much !

Bottle shared in London - cheers to Fergus. Pours deep brown with a foamy, tan head. Very woody and ashy, lots of scorched earth bitterness, some chocolate. Medium bodied with average carbonation. Dry and warming in the finish, more ashy roast, bittersweet cocoa. Decent gear.

Tight fluffy tan head left a creamy cover in dark brown still body. Whisky, demerara & plum aroma. Medium to full bodied, silky over the tongue with a sharp clean back. Chocolate, cocoa, malt, brown sugar & malt tastes with a tangy finish of string whisky & citrus.

Bottleshare at Craft Islington. Thanks to Fergus. Opaque dark brown beer, decent pale tan head. Smooth and semi dry palate, reasonable fine carbonation. Smooth dark malts, light cream and quite tangy chocolate. Tangy fruits with an awkward bitterness. A little warmth on the finish. Yeah, flavoursome but defo off kilter.
