Almost clear amber beer, small pale tan head. Smooth palate, fairly light, decent fine carbonation. Light malts, a nice light caramel and cream sweetness. A little ripe fruits and dried fruits marries up well. A fairly light finish. Classic barleywine. Mature but light and with a good balance of easy drinking flavours. Smooth finish. Classic.

330ml bottle. Pours lightly hazed amber with a loose off white head. Aroma: sweet malts, dried fruits, caramel, brown sugar. Taste: moderate to heavy sweet, dried fruits, dark fruits, caramel, toffee. Medium to full body, light carb, sweet raisin finish

355ml bottle from Brewdog Bottlebox. Sweet, creamy and heavily malty with some caramel, toffee, pine, lactic notes, vanilla and earthy grainy notes. A bit unbalanced and strange.

Bottle from Mikkeller Webshop. Cloudy orange with a small off-white head. Aroma is sweet, malty, caramel, candy and dark fruit. Flavor is quite sweet and moderate bitter. Sweet and moderate bitter finish with warming alcohol. Oily. 100319

Bottle, 12%. Slightly hazy dark amber with tiny head. Aroma is malt, caramel, toasted, dark fruit and a little burned caramel. Flavour is malt, caramel, sweet, toasted, warming, little burned caramel, little dark fruit and notes of alcohol.

Smells like a great barleywine, tastes like a barley shake... True to the name. Milky notes and thick. Sweet and damn smooth 12% with some heat to the back. Dangerous stuff.

Bottled 355ml (Boxbeers)
Amber colour, small off-white head. Sweet raisiny aroma with hints of apple. Medium-bodied. Flavour is sweetish, raisiny, grapes, hides ABV nicely. Decent dessert beer. Clean mouthfeel but not very complex brew.

Flaska från Mikkeller Beer Club:
Mörkt bärnstensfärgad med väldigt lite skum. Söt doft av kola, karamell och farin. Fyllig och sötklibbig smak av farin, kola och karamell. Värmande konjaksfinish.
Lite sötsliskig men ändå helt ok.
