500ml can. (5.3% ABV) Pours a clear amber with a small, foamy, short lived, white head that laces. Mild aroma of toasted grainy malt and bread. Sweet flavour of bready malt, toasted grain, caramel and a hint of honey with a mild, bitter grass finish. Light to medium body with an oily texture and soft carbonation. Simple, but drinkable.

Can from an Egerer Advent pack from the Woodland CostCo. Pours copper with a light beige head. Aroma is malty, almost thinking there’s a nutty aspect. Some light grassy hop? Med body or so. Flavor starts malty, seems to get mildly grassy, then settles into very slightly roasty malt. It’s not dry, and it’s very lightly bitter. Yet it works. Seems quite balanced. Might be a touch of metal in the finish.

Bottle at The Pot Still Glasgow. It pours clear gold with a a small white head. The nose is toasty, grainy, sweet, lagerage and white bread. The taste is crisp, sweet, bready maltage, toasty grain, touch of honey and light orange with a dry finish. Medium body, fine carbonation and thick, oily mouth - feel. Not a whole lot to it. Quite viscous for what it is. Not too bad anyhow.

Bottle at Reading Beer Festival 2015. Clear gold lasting white head. Thickish lager malt aroma. Some sparky hop on the finish. Quite a heavy marzen. But it’s drinkable enough. Spritz hop finish. Syrupy. Decent if a little sweet and syrup
