12 ounce can from Woodman's Appleton, 5/18/20. Black, large foamy brown head, good retention. Aroma of roast, anise, molasses, coffee, chocolate. Taste is roast, chocolate, raisin, cocoa, vanilla, coffee, maple, molasses. Mild booze, smooth texture, medium-full bodied, lingering bitterness, well balanced. The world needs more basic stouts without all the BS. This one is freaking fantastic!

Pour is motor oil black with a thin mocha tan head. Aroma is all things roasted malt. Intensely roasted almost burnt. Flavor is again all the burnt things with an insane roasted malt with a huge thick oily mouthfeel. Not for the timid, this sucker is heavy and roasty with a big thickness. No alcohol is felt but the body is so heavy and roasty.

Tasty imperial stout, deep and rich, layers of dark chocolate, roast, anise, java, cascara, and black cherry, with a long, bitter finish full of unsweetened cocoa and char. Verges on getting too sweet, but toes the line just right, resulting in an enjoyable pint.

Draft. A black beer with a brown head. The aroma has notes of roasted malt and dark chocolate. The flavor is sweet with notes of roasted malt, and dark chocolate, leading to a dry roasted finish.
