Thank you Tommy for sharing. 2013 neck split 3 ways at cellar temperature.

A - A nice clarity, it’s slightly bloody with reddish hues, purple edges.

S - The nose, well it’s boozy, sharp very nice balance of cherry acidity and grape skins with kiwi as well.

T - tart acidic finish, up front, booze, cherry tartness, oak and the wild yeast really shines at the finish. it’s very dark fruit forward with a brown sugar sort of sweetness. really interesting, no "spice" really but I can say you taste every bit of the booze.

M - Dense, not oily but not full of carbonation either.

O - This might be interesting in a decade. Like it now. probably one of my favorites.

Pours a nice shade of deep red with a few shades of brown mixed in. The liquid is moderately cloudy, and better bottle handling could probably make for even greater clarity. Small head, a slightly browned white. It’s just a dissipating film of bubbles after a minute. Little to no lacing. The aroma is fruity with gentle acetic acid. This is essentially a complex Flanders red with restrained acidity and an excellent barrel character. Vanilla and oak from the barrel. Lots of berries, grapes, peaches, cherries, nectarines, limes, tangerines. It’s all sweet and somewhat perfumey. Mild funk. Starts with gentle acidty and lots of that sweet fruitiness. Dries out in the finish as the acidity builds. Mild lactic note. Moderate pucker. It goes from light to medium sourness. Never overbearing. Incredibly well hidden alcohol. Trying it blind, I’d probably guess 6-8% abv. Fairly low carbonation. The flavors really come out as the beer warms. Delicious stuff. This series is underrated.

Draught Very good, fine & dense, yellowish head over red-amber, hazy beer. Fruity, red fruits & alcohol, vinous, sharp strawberry aromas. Very sour and very fruity, excessive acidity including acetic acid. Acidburn² , medium bodied at least, txs to the organic acids. Too young, too much acid, definitely not what it ought to be. But it was available already.
