A bit to much licorice here for my likings. Also roast and vanilla. Full body and a smooth carbonation level. A beer for sharing

Thnx to the antwerp Untappd crew ! Pours black, small to nearly no head. Smell is bit peated almost. Oak, booze. Roasted malts. Taste is heavy roasted, to a nearly peated aspect ( I dont think of actual peat after having tasted the beer ) . Nice thick, roasty ending. More boozy aspects.

Bottle shared by Benzai, 25 cl sample. Dark brown color, medium frothy head. Aroma of spicy licorice, fruity dates and sugary malt. Didnt get any vanilla though. Soft sweetness in taste, spicy and lots of roasty licorice. Decent, but not my favorite flavors in a RIS.

Bottle shared with Caesar. Opaque pitch black color, small brown head. Aroma and flavor both have malts, dates, roast, licquorice, oak, light roast and a hint of smoked malts in the background. Don’t get the vanilla. Malt bitter finish. Medium body, oily texture, medium carbonation. Nice.

Bottle at tasting. Aroma of smoke, leather, bacon and chocolate. Taste has smokey bacon, chocolate, ripe fruit, oak, syrup, licorice and booze. Quite a tastebomb, liked it.

500ml bottle shared. Aroma is bloody unbelievable. Dates, figs, vanilla, sweet port. I want a scented candle of this beer. Taste is not far behind. That big fruity fig and spiced date starts off strong, then there’s sweet boozy port strength and a touch of oak. It’s black, low carbonation and doesn’t pour with head. This is huge boozy strength, and intensely complex. Outrageously fantastic.

Bottle from Beers’n’more. Candy sweetness, lots of vanilla, some coffee and chocolate. Low carbonation. A bit lactic. Great palate though. Tasty, but not overwhelming.
