Bottled. A hazy brown beer with a beige head. The aroma has notes of malt, caramel, and straw. The flavor is sweet with notes of straw, malt, and caramel, leading to a dry finish.

Fantastic smooth malty beginning. Lots of deep roast and caramel. Smooth mild, moderate bitter and grain. Nice.

33 cl bottle. Pours hazy dark brown with a small brown head. Aroma is roasted malty, breadish. Dark malty. Roasted. Breadish and dark malty. Dry and roasted finish.

Bottle share (27/09/2017) - dark brown pour with off-white head. Sweet toasty and roasted malty prominent caramel notes, some treacle, cocoa notes, sweet roasted malty finish.

Draught in Hamburg. Murky brown with an off white head. Aroma of roast malt, a little coffee. Creamy sweet bock flavour, warming malt, sticky nut finish. Bottle says it is Ratsherrn that makes this.

Murky brown with massive foaming head. Aroma is rather muted. A little fruity sourness in the taste.

Very dark brown, small light beige froth. Aroma has caramel, light licorice and choc. Sweet flavour, roasted with licorice. Slightly nutty perhaps. Too sweet.

Sampled @ Festival der Bierkulturen Köln 2017. Dunkel orange braunes Bier mit einer großen beigen Schaumkrone. Geruch ist leicht nussig malzig, karamellig, rotes malz, Kastanien. Geschmack ist sehr malzig, rotes malz, rote Früchte, leicht holzig, Kastanien.

0,33 l bottle purchased at Craft Beer Kontor Hannover for 3,29 €. The label says brewed and bottled at Buddelship Brauerei. Pours out oily black, very small dark beige head. Smells like glue with malt in the background. Taste starts surprising smooth, a lot of chcaolate, less coffee. Malt in the background, dark fruity, low but present sweetness. Some hints of nuts.Totally hidden alcohol. Smooth malty with coffee in the aftertaste. Low carbonated. Really great stuff, way better than the regular Senatsbock.
