Golden orange top fermenting beer, inspired by English ESBs (Extra Special Bitter) – but weighing in only at 5 to 5.2 % alcohol by volume. This beer has become our staple brew, and accounts for most of our production. It has a crisp, dry bitterness padded by fruity notes typical of top fermentation, livened up by the citrusy edge from the hop varieties used. A beer to enjoy whenever you want, anywhere you want, and a great match to lasagna, Indian food or roast beef. It has won awards in Switzerland and Germany in 2005 and 2006.

Bitterness level is 27 IBUs (International bitterness units).Hop varieties : Cascade, Centennial, Chinook or Nugget. Malts : Pale Ale, Munich and Crystal.

Bottle @ Eldorado, Zurich. Unclear golden body with a medium sized white head. Aroma has some pale malt, fruit and berries – actually raspberries seems to be quite dominating when first thinking at them. Flavor is light, pale malt, refreshing fruit and slightly acidic berries. Medium to light bodied and refreshing fruity aftertaste. Easy drinkable, slightly original – quite enjoyable and quaffable.

Bottle, many thanks derA! Amber color with small head. Aroma is caramel, toasted malts, earthy old world hops, some tropical fruits. Taste is fruity, a bit caramel again, solid malt body, with a bitter finish and an aftertaste of more old world hops. Medium carbonation. Nice one!

Bottle at Café des Amis. Quite tropical indeed, both in aroma and taste. Quite bitter, but matched nicely with carbonization and malts. It overly exciting, but definitely a good beer.
