Golden orange top fermenting beer, inspired by English ESBs (Extra Special Bitter) – but weighing in only at 5 to 5.2 % alcohol by volume. This beer has become our staple brew, and accounts for most of our production. It has a crisp, dry bitterness padded by fruity notes typical of top fermentation, livened up by the citrusy edge from the hop varieties used. A beer to enjoy whenever you want, anywhere you want, and a great match to lasagna, Indian food or roast beef. It has won awards in Switzerland and Germany in 2005 and 2006.
Bitterness level is 27 IBUs (International bitterness units).Hop varieties : Cascade, Centennial, Chinook or Nugget. Malts : Pale Ale, Munich and Crystal.

On tap at Baran. It’s a hazy dark golden beer with a dense, finger thick off-white head. The aroma has a little grassy, herbal note, but peaches and pineapple dominates. A faint malty touch too. Orange marmalade hints. It’s quite bitter on the palate, with some maltyness in the back. Pine cones and resins. Full body, dry and with a nice carbonation. Lasting bitter finish with pine cones, resins and some tropical fruits. Think this is my first from this brewery, I find no reason to comlain. 140616

Deep gold pour. Bread, malt, light florals, and a touch of grain. Light lingering bitterness. Very well balanced.

On tap @ Baran. This is a soft cloudy slightly deep goldenish looking one with a really good looking big lacing off-white head. Mild caramelly sweet toffee nose, there is even a little bit of cognac here. Doesn't really smell like an IPA or pale ale, but i still kinda like it. Really lightdribkable this. Feels thin oily in the mouth and it's just below average on the carbonation. Soft caramel with herbal hops and a little hint of clear diacetyl in the back. Absolutely easy to drink. but perhaps a bit easy? On the border of being to nice. 28.02.2014

Bottle, 5%. Piney aroma, fruity, mango, watermelon. Hazy amber colour. Small white head. The flavour has a good bitterness. Fruity hoppiness, not overpowering, but OK. Hint of yeast, but tolerable. Thin mouthfeel. Fairly clean and nicely balanced.

Bottle from Embrouille - thank you so much! Pours clear amber with airy off-white head. Clear aroma of hops and citrus. Bitter, hoppy flavour with regular citric and grassy touches. A little rough and quite bitter finish. Nice.

33cl bottle shared by Arve_Christian at BRU, Oslo. Mild fruity and malty with some hoppy notes. Moderate sweet with a light bitterness. Weak in flavour, and not very hoppy, but nice enough.

Bottled. An unclear dark golden beer with a thin lazing beige head. The aroma has notes hops, grapefruit, and caramel. The flavor is sweet with a sour note and notes of hops, spices, and caramel, leading to a bitter finish.
