The hybridized love child of the raspberry & blackberry, this robustly ruby Brünicorn boasts a pronounced berry musk with an inordinate sour cherry and strawberry jam-like perfume. Delicately dry and straw-like malt flavors yield to crisp and bold bramble fruit notes. Suggestive lactic sourness stands at the forefront of cherried brett character. Pinot grape and oak tannin round out the finish of this mysteriously complex creature.

Bottle to tulip, the appearance was a murky amber color with a fingers worth of white foamy head that fell off at a medium pace. Slight lace.
The aroma had some grapes, black raspberries, black cherry skin, herbal perfume, grassy sweet malt, floral hop qualities, good dose of funk and ended with a touch of woodiness.
The flavor was somewhat sour with a touch of the funk and a little bit of barnyard. Low malty dryness to flow into the aftertaste and follow on into the finish.
The palate was roughly medium bodied with a decent sipping quality about it. Carbonation felt fine. ABV felt decent.
Overall, pretty decent take on one of those Flemish sour brown ales. I could do this again, seemed not as sweet as some of those Flemish ones.

Bottle. Pours murky wine red, with very small frothy whitish head that disappeared immediately, acidic berry aroma, high carbonation, tart taste with wood and red wine flavor, somewhat granular body with lots of precipitate, abrupt finish. Very much like red wine, the berries are mostly obscured by the oak flavor.

Keg at the brewery. Dark hazy purple, thin fizzy offwhite head, fair retention. Aroma of Concord grapes, dark fruits, brett and funk. Taste is very tart berries, dark fruits, grape skins, pepper, mild oak. Medium bodied, strong lingering tartness.

Sampled from bottle at the special Weyerbacher tasting at the Getränke Oase. Lactic, interesting berry nose. Murky lilac, low offwhite head. Dry on the palate, chewy, fruity. Juicy, almost Rodenbach type sourness, fresh lactic finish. Very nice!

Bottle. Milky purple color with pink head. Aroma is tart berry skin, not sure what a Boysenberry tastes like, some funk, sharp citrus. Taste is sour berry skin, some earthy funk. Silky mouthfeel. Very nice!

Sample at Bob’s Bar during the "Mike Langley GTFO of Columbus Bottle Share" on 08/29/2016. The beer is a cloudy purplish-brown color with a medium light beige head that recedes steadily to an outer ring. Small patches of lacing on the glass. Aroma of berries, yeast and malt. Medium body with a tart boysenberry character and notes of earthy yeast and malt. The finish is fruity with a boysenberry and cherry aftertaste. Pretty good beer all around.
