This beer is the product of over a year’s worth of work, and the perfect representation of both breweries. A blend of sour ale from BFM and a blend of sour ale from OverWorks. Defined by the darker malts and time spent in oak, this beer is a nutty, biscuty malt-forward twist on the Oud Bruin style. Expect plenty of vineous and woody notes with a splicing sour that chops through the sweet malts.

33cl bottle from Abeervinum, Rimini, Italy. Pours medium opaque amber, with gross and limited foam. Aroma is nicely acetic, barn. Body is actually elegantly smooth, average in body and with moderate soft carbonation. Limited astringency. Taste is markedly sour. Final is actually fairly long and sour.

Bottle from BD Inverurie. It pours hazy oily red - amber with a bubbly white head. The aroma is sour and tangy, good depth of red fruits and berry, sour strawberry, cherry jam, redcurrant, jam rolly polly, victoria sponge cake, fizzy sour candy, funk, earth, wet leaves and oak. The taste is tart and puckering upfront, slap of acidity, sherbet, zingy sour fruits, loads of red berries, strawberry, cherry, redcurrant, red grape, fizzy cherry cola bottles, oak, funk, earth, light lactic vibe, touch of alcohol and tannin. Medium body and fine carbonation. Quite punchy upfront, but it mellows out. Lovely berry character.
