Bottled. A pale golden beer with a thin beige head. The aroma has notes of straw, malt, and a bit hay. The flavor is sweet with notes of straw and malt, leading to a dry straw and hay finish.

500 ml bottle. Very pale, golden body with a thin white head. Aroma of weak grain and perfume. Flavor is weak malty, boiled asparagus and a tiny hint of hops. Plain, watery body, short finish - not a pleasant experience.

Draught @brewpub, as Edel-Pils
Straw colour and sparkly. Thick bleached head that falls down. Rich herbal hoppy aroma with no shortage of backing breadcrust. Well-balanced with herbal hop, moderate bitterness, light pale malts and some supporting diacetyl. This messes up the mouthfeel, however, introducing undue slickness that takes away from the herbal bitter character and the cleanliness of the pale malts.

Bottle, bought in Hirschaid. Blonde, no head. Flowery hops and a hint of cardboard in the aroma. Malty flavor with apple, cardboard and a hint of old hops. Past its peak, though the best before date wasn’t reached yet. Re-rate: bottle, bought at the source. Pale vblonde. Grassy, stony aroma. Malt, soft grassy hopbitter flavor. Hint of soap in the aftertaste. Above rating is for the re-rate

Bottled (BB 08/2009). Yellow color, mostly vanishing white head. Unclean diacetyl-like sweetish, honeyish plus cardboardish aroma. A bit watery palate. Sweet malty, slightly diacetylic. Aftertaste has some grassy bitterness, but otherwise boring.

Draught at the brewpub. Almost clear pale yellow colour. Nice stable white head. The appearance does not lie, the flavour is rather subtle. Very clean as is usually the case with Bavarian beer, but also quite bland. There is some hay, low to medium bitterness. Not so interesting.

(Bottle) Pale golden and clear. Small white head that disappears quickly. Mild grassy and butter aroma. Medium bodied and bit dry palate with medium carbonation. Malts, butter, grass, fruitiness and bitterness in taste. Lightly bitter aftertaste.
