Fairly hazy deep copper and nice bronze coloured body with a frothy and large three to four centimetre tall deep tan coloured head that fades slowly and covers the side of the glass with noticeable head. Aroma of deep and aromatic, piney and dank, grassy and herbal scents with a lot of hop bitterness here in the nose and a kick of resinous and sweet notes coupled with some deep caramelised sugar and rich malty characteristic that is pungent throughout. Medium-bodied; Rich and deep grassy and especially herbal, piney and flavourful hop flavours are balanced with strong malt and sweetness and show a lot of range, especially with deep hoppiness. Aftertaste is rich and robust with a lot of grainy and bitter, bready and caramel flavours and a dank, piney richness that really shows the hop bitterness at the end. Overall, a very old school, grainy and dank, piney IPA that doesn't apologise or back down - it's strong and deep, but balanced with a lot of malt and sweetness, too. Great to have from Michigan, especially the Upper Peninsula - very fresh - a nice old-school IPA option! I sampled this twelve ounce can, purchased from Kroger [grocery] in Livonia, Michigan on 23-October-2022 for US$8,99/six pack, packaged on 21-September-2022 and sampled at my house here in Washington on 09-November-2022.

12 oz can. Pours a cloudy golden amber with an off-white head. Citrusy, caramelly aroma. Flavor of citrus, herbal, floral hops, biscuity caramel malts. It's just okay.

Can from Livonia Liquor. Nice to see Upper Hand beers down state now! Pours a clear golden copper with a finger of beige head that lingers. Pine, resin, peach and light apricot on the nose. More of the same on the palate with a bitter, resinous finish. Refreshing and a nice IPA in the classic Midwest style.

Sampled from the tap at the brewery. Pours a clear orange with a yellow hue and a near white head that dissipates to the edges. Aroma has a good amount of citrus with some grass and a light grain backbone. Flavor has a combination of grains and earthy citrus backed by a touch of grass.
