Bottle picked up in München (Bierothek/München Brew Mafia) and consumed at home Sunday 15th October in the company of Craig and Stella. We've just been out for a short drive to our local Gasthof zum Sonnenwald and an old brewery (no longer brews) in Renting, listening to Deus - The Ideal Crash. Pours hazy amber with a white/off white head. Fruity with a rustic approach, good ESB, hops appear to be workmanlike UK hops, actually just checked bottle and it certainly is, it's East Kent Goldings and Giggles. Soft in the mouth, nice ESB.

330ml bottle. Opalescent, amber colour with average to huge, thick, firm, frothy to creamy, moderately lasting and lacing, minimally sulphureous, off-white head. Floral hoppy and mellow malty aroma, subtle fruitiness, a touch of red and yellow apple, orchard fruit. Taste is floral, mildly bitter hoppy, minimally toasty malty, almost without residual sweetness, hints of petals with minimally soapy aspects, subtle fruitiness with a touch of orchard fruit. Creamy texture, smooth and soft, silky palate, medium to fine, soft carbonation. Well crafted, homogeneous, should be a little bit sweeter and the carbonation could be a tad more fine for a really excellent result - very good nevertheless.

0.33 l bottle from the brewery's web shop, best before December 2022. Clear, deep amber with a medium large, foamy, almost stable, off-white head. Sweetish-malty, gently fruity-floral, slightly herbal-grassy aroma of marmalade, grains, leaves and caramel. Gently sweet, malty, moderately bitter, slightly fruity-floral and a bit herbal-grassy taste of caramel, grains, straw, marmalade and leaves, followed by a short, quite bitter, gently dry finish. Medium body, smooth and gently effervescent mouthfeel, soft carbonation. Decent Ale, doesn't feel overly British though. Nowhere near a Fuller's ESB or the likes, rather an Alt/Pale Ale hybrid.
