Draft at the brewery taproom. Pours deep brown with a creamy khaki head. The nose is light roast, some cooked cereal and light cocoa. Medium sweet flavor with toasted biscuits, dried fruits, light earth. Medium bodied with fine carbonation. OK balance to finish, some earthy and herbal bitterness, baking cocoa, more dried fruits and toasted cereal grains. Not bad.

Tap at the Jeffrey with Kraddel. pours jet black with one finger beige head. Smells of roasted malt and espresso. Tastes of espresso especially the bitter grind, roasted malt, earth, oats, dark chocolate. Not sweet. Straight up stout that’s pleasant and drinkable.
