*@ Craft Mainz 2017. Nice caramelly dark beginning. Roast, smooth mild yeast. Round and bitter roasted, dark with fruity spicy parts. Nice.

Pours brown from the bottle. The crown is foamy and fleeting. Aroma is pungent overripe banana, old shoe, dash of french mustard. Taste is oatmeal sweet, lots of banana, and ends with a touch of spice and a very mild bitterness. Body is medium with mild carbonation. This one can certainly be called interesting. More like a cross between an Abbey Dubbel and a Dunkelweizen than any sort of stout.

Sampled @ BKL 2017. Trübes dunkel orange goldenes Bier mit einer geringen beigen Schaumkrone. Geruch nach reifen Bananen, Karamell. Geschmack süß bananig, Karamell, Gewürze.

Brown color with tan head. Aroma is caramel, bready, a bit grainy, oat. Taste is oat, earthy, cereals. Medium carbonation. Interesting, and certainly well-made, but not exactly my thing.
