For our collaborative version with White Lion Brewing, we brewed the shared recipe from Weathered Souls (80% component of final beer) and blended it with two currently unreleased bourbon and rum barrel-aged beers (20%). The beer was then aged on Papua New Guinea Vanilla Beans.

The resulting Imperial Stout is luscious, full-bodied, and offers an incredibly complex nose, with baked good aromas of cacao chunk brownies and brown sugar glazed hazelnut cookies. We are incredibly proud to share this beer with you.

Can (8/6/20) pour from the Fort Point brewery. It's a dark, dark brown (mahogany with light source directly behind), with light sparkle at the edges of the glass, finger-width crackling, fizzy, light brown head with poor retention and no lacing. Aroma is strong mix of roasted malts, bourbon, sugar cookies, chocolate. Taste is strong rum, dark fruit, chocolate/fudge, vanilla, lesser bourbon. Mouthfeel is medium-to-full bodied with smooth, thick texture, average carbonation and crisp finish as taste. Overall, the best Black is Beautiful I've had, as the barreling adds an amazing dimension. Nice strength and complexity.

Can thanks to William. Pours black with medium tan head that lasts. The aroma is roast, licorice, chicory, vanilla. Slick body, caramel, roast, vanilla, cocoa, boozy, dry finish, very good.

16oz can in trade from Tfontana, thanks for the opportunity! Dark brown with a thin tan head that persists. Sweet creamed coffee with bits of chocolate and lots of vanilla. Tasty but a bit on the sweet side for my tastes.

16 oz. can. Date of: 08/06/20. Thanks to tfontana on the trade. Aroma is soft vanilla, mild rum essence, chocolate-ish. Flavor is quite rich and decadent. Flavor has soft spice hint, very mild vanilla, and a sweeter chocolate like finish. Full thick body with a smooth texture over the tongue. ABV is completely hidden. Very enjoyable.

Can from Other Chris: pours near black woth beige head. Aroma is chocolate, hints of coffee, rum, and vanilla. Taste is somewhat sweet, low bitterness, dark fruitiness. Pretty mellow for a hefty boy. This is a very drinkable imperial stout.
