Bottle from a local supermarket. Looks good. Beer in the glass dark brown, small head. Intense malty aroma. Starts fine malty, roasty. Shy smokey touch. Some earth, some wood. Mild bitterness. Well balanced finish, warming-malty. Nice one!

330ml bottle. Clear, chestnut colour with wonderful ruby shimmer and small to average, frothy to creamy, half-way lasting, minimally lacing, beige head. Sweet-ish, dark malty aroma, notes of malt lozenge, whiffs of toffee and caramel. Taste is sweet-ish, dark malty, notes of malt lozenge, some dark caramel, bitter hoppy counterpart; minimally pungent, bitter hoppy finish. Watery texture, smooth and dry, minimally cloying palate, fine, mildly prickly carbonation. Wonderful colour, quite hoppy, a bit monotonous - OK.

Bottle from Appel, Moosburg and consumed at home Saturday 23rd January 2021 listening to Craig Charles Funk and Soul Show and cooking Bavarian Stuffed Cabbage Leaves with Herbs. Super soft mouthfeel, lots of molasses, it's a surprisingly easy drinking beer, a touch of beef stock, it's fine if a little too sweet.

Red with big brown head. Aroma is dried figs, physalis, caramel, toffee and dried berries. Taste is full bodied caramel sweetness and grape sourness and spicy caramel stuff. Incredibly smooth and easy to drink, yet heavy. Nice.

Dunkler, wenig intensiv hopfig malziger Antrunk. Spritzig, was in diesem Falle negativ ist. Langweilig. 9/10/7/7//8
