33cl bottle. A very dark brown beer with a mid-sized most good lasting beige head. Aroma of dark mild roasted malt, melasse, liquorice. Taste of mild roasted dark malt, chocolate, liquorice, melasse. Nice!

At a tasting, small stable bubbly jead, very dark brown color, aroma of chocolate, nuts and minerals with some vanila in the back, flavor of chocolate and rum with that vanila coming through in time. Nice and enjoyable but not overly complex with just a little to much vanila.

BKL2017. Licorice and chocolate aroma. Dark brown, offwhite lace. Fairly spicy, very strong licorice root on the palate. Dry, mellow.

Weich karbonisierter, leicht röstiger Antrunk. Geringe Herbe, etwas monoton. Zunehmend alkoholisch. 10/9/8/9//9

Dark brown with medium beige head. Aroma is clove, phenols, spices, caramel, grapes. Taste is a bit spicy with bitter caramel. Too heavy and not smooth. Meh.

Tap. Brownish color with white head. Aroma is chocolate, coffee, liquorice. Taste is the same, some fresh minty notes. Medium carbonation. Not bad, but not excellent.

330 ml bottle from Beer Store Vienna, bb 01.03.2018
Dark brown to black body, with a small, creamy, dark beige head.
Aroma of dried fruits, dark berries, vanilla, caramel, milk chocolate, some wood, subtle liquorice.
Tastes quite similar, but less sweet, with more cocoa, coffee, tobacco.
Medium, creamy mouthfeel, with a moderate carbonation.
Finishes medium roasty, medium dry, a bit warming, wooden, with liquorice, coffee, chocolate, dark fruits.

Very nice. A quite unique style example, more on the sweet side, especially in the nose. Taste has more roasty and dry notes and is really diverse, with fruits, sweet notes and the typical roasty notes of this style, which come through more and more as the beer warms up. Overall among the best Imperial Stouts from Austria, while still not my favourite one.
