Trübe bräunliche Farbe mit weißer Schaumkrone. Malziger, hefiger, fruchtiger Geruch.

500ml swing top bottle. Pours a murky orange-brown with a medium, creamy, short lived, off-white head that laces. Sweet aroma of wheat malt, caramel, overripe banana and yeast. Sweet flavour of wheat malt, caramel, bread, overripe banana, clove and yeast with a dry, slightly sour finish. Medium body with a thin texture and soft carbonation.

(swing top bottle) Hazy, chestnut-amber colour with a loose and tanned foamy head. Moderately wheaty aroma with banana fruity esters and clovy spice. Mildly sweet and slightly sour flavour, light to medium bodied with a rather tame carbonation. Wheaty malt character with notes of banana, cloves and a nutty touch towards the sweet and slightly sour finish with shy traces of chocolate. 30.VI.15

500 ml flip-top bottle from a supermarket, bb 23.09.16
Dark orange-brown, cloudy body, with a big, fluffy, lacing, light beige head.
Aroma of banana, spices, orange, some citrus, some bread, some caramel.
Taste follows this, with sour fruits, some more cocoa and toasty notes.
Medium, oily mouthfeel, with a lively carbonation.
Finishes spicy, medium sour fruity, bready, a bit toasty, yeasty, with cocoa again.
Good, but nothing special. Quaffable and easy, but quite flat for this style, with sourish notes I don’t like that much. Some nice cocoa notes though. Not among the better beers from Rieder in my opinion.

Lahev( Králupy nad Vltavou!): Chestnut-amber coloured, cloudy, mid-sized and stable loose off-white head with a pinkish(!) sheen; wheaty-yeasty nose, accompanied by a certain fruityness, neither dark malt nor caramel detectable; sweetish-sourish flavour, light to medium bodied, relatively soft; slightly drier wheaty and fruity (raspberries) finish followed by a faint illusion of chocolate. Presumably a coloured Helles Hefeweizen, not so good…
