Murky brown with medium white head. Aroma is stale chalk, some hilatosis, slightest caramel, some fart. Also ash. Taste is watery coffee ground with green leek and sweet juice, some treber. Not tasty.

Bottle. Pours dark brown. Nose is citrus, orange, cacao. Palate is bread, chocolate, toffee, bitter finish. Surprisingly good.

Bottle. Ruby brown, brown head. Chocolate cake aroma - almost exactly like the typical flourless melty cake you get in a restaurant. Medium light dry, slightly metallic chocolate/cocoa beans. Quick roast finish, Fun!

(swing top bottle, 33cl) Slightly unclear, brown colour with a firm medium-sized and tanned foamy head. Moderately roasted malty aroma with notes of caramel, popcorn, gingerbread and delicately hoppy spice. Mildly sweet and roasty bitter flavour, light to medium bodied with a moderate carbonation. Crusty and moderately roasted malt character with notes of dark chocolate, gingerbread and mocha; the latter especially towards the dry and mildly bitter roasty finish. Okay, better try real Sticke or Schmitz-Mönk Bock. 29.XII.17

Ploepp-Flasche: A bit unclear, ruby-amber coloured, big - slowly collapsing - off-white head, mild to moderate toasty-fruity nose, presumably some yeast detectable, herbal hops in the background; mild to moddrate bitter-sweet flavour, nearly medium-bodied and quite soft; drier fruity-toasty finish with herbal hoos and a tinge of smoke. Not a Sticke, but a quite pleasant little Altbier...

Bottle, thanks Koelschtrinker! Brown color with tan head. Aroma is malty, gingerbread, a bit meaty as well, slightly oxidized. Taste is more lebkuchen & gingerbread, dark malts and some roasted malts, chocolate. Medium carbonation, oily mouthfeel. Aftertaste of Lebkuchen. Quite a nice winter beer, especially since it’s rather light!

Bottle 330ml. w. swing top @ home. [ As Boltens Nikolaus Spezial Weihnachten 2015 ].[ Trade by Koelschtrinker ]. Clear dark red brown color with a large, frothy, good lacing, mostly lasting, off-white to light beige head. Aroma is moderate to heavy malty, sweet malt, bread, caramel, dark malt, brown sugar. Flavor is moderate to light light heavy sweet with a long duration, sweet malt, bread, caramel, dark malt, malty. Body is medium, texture is oily to watery, carbonation is soft. [20161002]

Many thanks to Koelschtrinker for sharing this beer! The nose is like gingerbread. The beer starts very dry, nice roasted with a great subtle gingerbread roast aroma. Fascinating! Long dry roasty aftertaste with slightly sweetish hints of spices!!

Klares orange braunes Bier mit einer geringen leicht beigen Schaumkrone. Geruch leicht röstmalzig, Karamell, Gewürze. Geschmack mild röstmalzig, Karamell, würzig, kaum hopfig.

Malziger, herb getreidiger Antrunk, steigend bitter. Dabei sinkt das Malz allerdings in gleichem Maße, nicht sonderlich vollmundig. Trocken dunkler Malzabgang. Okay. 7/8/8/8/8/8
