Brisk is our German-style Oktoberfest lager conditioned in oak until perfectly softened. Brewed with German Pilsner, Munich, Cara Munich, and Vienna malts, it is fermented cool with a traditional Märzen yeast and then transferred to our horizontal oak lagering tank for extended refinement and conditioning. With softened noble hop character, accentuated malts, and the ever-so-gentle kiss of American oak, Brisk is crisp, refreshing, and hugely characterful — a triumphant transmutation of Whisper. We are quite pleased to share it with you as the weather grows cool and autumn leaves progress through their yearly evolution - Enjoy!

Canned Autumn '22, four pack drunk over a handful of months, most recently on 12/31/22. Bright amber, great clarity, small, off-white head slowly to spotty cover. Soft, well-aged, well-can-conditioned nose (this got much better sitting in the fridge, unsurprisingly). Round red fruits, lightly toasted grain and soft honey, all seemingly well-attenuated. No alcohol or flaw. Light minerality and herbal hops accent the finish without outdoing the malt or yeast. Soft and malty, good dryness but also lingering honey, cracker and biscuit. Strong toast, maybe a touch of creamy and tannic oak with light herbal bitterness. Honey, mineral and more grain lingering. Clean, no alcohol. Not a stunner, but solid everywhere. Maybe a bit burly with lots of toast and grain and tannin.

Pours a clear, amber-copper, with mid-sized head. Aroma is bready, grassy, some malt. Flavors all follow, with crisp/clean mouthfeel. Good example of the style.

Solid oaked marzen. Great balance, mild bitterness, great balance. Better than their other festbier.
