The Fall is an Autumnal Beer that was inspired by Festbier, but created with our own liberties. Dry-hopped with Northern Brewer and Hallertau Mittelfruh, this German lager is auburn in color and puts forward a hint of spice. It's floral, malt forward, and is brewed specially for this season. The Fall is great for a night around a fire while watching a sunset as the leaves begin to fall. We can all agree this time of year is both magical and fleeting in Vermont. Cherish it with us!

Reviewed from notes.
Can to mug.
Appearance: dark orange to copper color with a finger and a quarter of eggshell white foamy head which took it's time to dissipate and once it did there was some light clingy lace
Aroma: floral and earthy hops mesh with some clean caramel malts, subtle toast/breadiness in there too
Flavor: blends the prior noted aromas to a fine sweet to earthy bitter quality; finishes malts first and the floral to earthy hops in the secondary
Texture: medium bodied, sessionable; very smooth along the tongue and touch of dry earthiness
Overall: festbier or Marzen? hmmmm, I guess it leans more to a festbier, and I liked it enough to come back to it.

16 oz. can. Shows flavors of sourdough with a few spices and hints of light minerals. It has an old world German flavor to it without the old malt flavors. The finish is very clean with soft / light toffee sweetness. Nice malt background and totally proper for the style.

Another new new England fest beer, my fears of running out were misplaced. Orange copper pour.nose is toffee and leaf litter. Tastes much the same, dried leafs, caramel, hint of plum, sourdough bread, rootbeer malty. Medium bodied.

Pub House draught, 10/4/23. Clear copper-auburn. Frothy, dense, beige head, good retention. Spicy noble hops, rich base malt melding with tasteful amounts of specialty malts to add toffee, plum, strawberry to the honey and white bread like base. Bit of sourdough. Clean. Sourdough, honey and toffee. Very malty with proper attenuation and plentiful noble hops spice. Clean and rich. Could use a bit more crisp yeast and mineral on the end but otherwise this is excellently-made.
