This Maple Wheatwine was brewed in collaboration with our dear friend Brad Clark of Private Press Brewing. Brewed almost 3 years ago and first aged in a blend of E.H. Taylor and Rittenhouse Rye barrels before being finished for a year in Willett Bourbon Barrels and with our own house aged bourbon barrel-aged maple syrup.

Cella draught, 2/15/24. Dark mahogany, clear, no head. Vinous, caramel, vanilla, bourbon spice, just the right amount of fruity. Oak and dryness with hints of brown sugar and more spice. Soft, spicy, rich, very very malty with vanilla, caramel, chocolate, fig, plum, raisin. Long toffee. Sweet but balanced. Rich maple suggestions abound but the spiciness from barrel absolutely kills it.

Bottle. Pours black with small tan head. The aroma is strong wood, maple, dates, fig, bourbon, vanilla, earth. Slick body, maple syrup, dates, wood, vanilla, toffee, bourbon, really enjoyed this.

FLW, MITW that I love but doubled up on the barrel and just dreamy. I feel like maple is perfectly balanced with the barrel here and that wheatwine mouthfeel, ugh, so good.
