Jun ’14. A 0.33 l bottle courtesy of Marko, thanks. It poured a bit hazy, pale yellow body with medium sized head. Aroma was rather fine, some elderflower which is always a good spice, as it makes beer sweet only in the nose. Hopefully. Sweet flavor, but luckily not too much. Strong elderflower along with chalk and earthy note which revealed its wheat nature. Medium bodied with lightly too sweet aftertaste. Liked it for a radler indeed, totally drinkable.

Stiegl’s Grapefruit radler’s overrated. Yeah, it is. There are better Euro radlers around - only without access to the US market where raters are so, so much more generous. They do, however, make passable to good radlers, above the crap some of their competition churns out, so I had huge expectations out of this. I love Stiegl Weisse, I love elderflower syrup/juice. Does it work? Well, the previous ratings are a hint. This poured a misty gold/yellow body with a thick, small white head. Elder note in the aroma, finishing in odd earthiness. Again, sweetish, nice elder notes, showing some traces of the wheat buried underneath, it’s an interesting beverage, but messy, and there’s this off note that just won’t go away. You’ll try worse, far worse.

Ins Glas ergießt sich ein goldenes Getränk mit ordentlicher Schaumkrone. Geruch süß nach Holunder. Geschmack nach Holunder, nur sehr wenig Weissbier zu schmecken, dennoch süffig.

Pours a hazy yellow color with a small white head. Tart, fruity aroma. Overly sweet flavour.

bottle from Merkur Wien-Hütteldorf. Cloudy pale yellow, creamy head, aroma of elderberry. Beery start, wheaty ülus good elderberry flavours. Refreshing, beery and rather nice for a "cyclist".

Draft at the Stiegl Keller in Salzburg. I don’t care if this is a radler, it was unique and refreshing. Hazy yellow. Sweet, and lots of elderflower.

Bottled 500ml. -from Merkur Seiersberg (Graz), Austria. Unclear yellow coloured, medium sized white head, light dusty and perfumed elderflower nose. Sweet and odd spicy elderflower taste with quite sweet and mild acidic finish. Didn’t like it at all, even Maja who likes elder (juice, syrup, etc.) found it below average.

Bottle from random supermarket in Hainburg. Golden yellow color with huge white long lasting head. Aroma of elder, lemon, lemon zest. Taste, almost the same. Very light hop bitterness in finish. Refreshing, but definitely not beer.
