Can. Pouring a deep gold with a foamy head. The nose is a grainy sweetness. Med-light bodied with an earthy green bitterness and light malt sweetness. OK.

Can from Lawson. Drank straight from the can. Light grassy aromas with a touch of fruit and malt. Taste is nice. Some malt and light sweetness that comes through. Dry finish. Not bad at all. --- Beer merged from original tick of Pilsner on 31 May 2015 at 14:46 - Score: 6

Got it! Gold can, must be this pilsner stuff... there isn’t even an ABV number to figure out what you might be drinking. Okay head, could be better, could be worse, with that usual dark yellow lager body. Very soft sweet aroma that could be awesome if it was just stronger. Flavour is a mix of caramel and cardboard with a slightly watery finish. This could have been a lot worse, and that’s the best thing I can say about it.

Canned, from HongKong. Clear pale yellow, coarse head. risp and very dry. Grassy and bready with light-medium body and balanced bitterness. A well controlled quenching pilsener, very much in German style. Really good!

Golden. Not much head. Malty, somewhat toasty nose like a nice helles. Tastes like one, too, with slightly doughy, fat malts on the tongue. Maybe some late herbal dryness. Not pils, but otherwise good.

On tap at Popeye. Biscuit malt flavor. Dry, hoppy, cereal tasting. Northern German style. Not at all buttery, and with just a touch of fruit. A bit sweet, but mainly dry and bitter hop finish. Slightly malty aroma with hops. Not my favorite pils -- lots of biscuit, but decent.
