R&B Brewing has come a long way since our first brew of Red Devil Pale Ale on August 23 1997. Since then we have been lucky enough to brew thousands of beers in our 24 years of operation. To celebrate our 4,000th brew we decided to go big and use as they would let us in a triple hopped double IPA. The hops in this DIPA showcase a heavy dose of mango and dark berries complimented by citrus and dank undertones.

Can from Legacy LRS, Vancouver, canned 06/30/21, 2.5 months ago
Hazy golden colour, dull, with medium sized compact head. The aroma is sweet and fruity, marmalade, demerara sugar. Full bodied, moderately sweet; it tastes like raw wort though (a bit); there are some sweet orange qualities from the hop, but the vegetable character is more evident, some pith in the finish.
Not very elegant, actually quite rough, but drinkable.

Cloudy orangey gold and modest foam. Chewy tangerine aroma, candied pineapple. Taste is more heavy tangerine, ends thick and oily, lingering grain hints. Not bad but a little overbearing.

Poured from the tap. Slightly hazy golden orange with small white head. Bread malt, citrus and tropical hops with a touch of resin. Decent.

A hazed golden DIPA with a thin lacing white head. In aroma, sweet fruity biscuit malt with herbal dank hops, treacle, light butterscotch, pleasant. In mouth, sweet biscuit malt with resinous floral hops, alcohol warmth, light pine, pleasant. On tap at brewery.

Hazy and dullish. Thin head. Light cannabis on the nose. Veers more towards overripe tropical fruit on the palate. The malts aren't holding this up very well; they're a bit clunky.

473mL can, pours a hazy bright golden orange with a small white head. Nose is full of orange zest, resinous hops, and earthy roughness. Flavour is juicy and zesty, with citrus zest, resinous hops, a little rough earthiness, and bready malt. Gently sweet, with plenty of citrus peel on the finish. Good stuff.
