Fläschla: Deep golden, hazy, stable creamy off-white foamy layer, moderate to solid sweet-bitter aroma of pale malt ( with honeyish traces) and herbal to flowery hops; moderate to solid sweet-bitter flavour, medium to full bodied, soft; lingering honeyish and herbal finish. Well balanced Bier, moreish - no doubt…

Dunkel hopfiger, vergoren fruchtiger Hopfenantrunk, klassisch. Gut. 11/10/11/12/12/11

Thx to Zinni for this bottle. Clear, amber color and a white head. Overripe tropical fruits, faint decaying. Nuce fruity-hoppy Taste. Long, biiter-hoopy finish. 330ml bottle. Minimally milky, orange golden colour with average, thick, firm, frothy to creamy, moderately lasting and lacing, white head. Grassy, piney and fruity, minimally perfumed floral, hoppy aroma, caramel malty background, notes of pine, grass, melon, whiffs of petals, viola. Taste is bitter, piney, grassy, fruity and slightly floral hoppy, caramel malty backbone with little residual sweetness, notes of pine, grass, some melon, grapefruit rind, a touch of petals, orange undertones; well hidden alcohol. Minimally oily, watery texture, smooth and soft, dry palate with a minimally hop oily greasy touch, medium to fine, mildly prickly carbonation. Well crafted, crisp bitterness, decent malty backbone, good balance - emptied at a rate of knots.

0.33 l bottle from 'Craftbeer-Shop.com', best before May 2022. Clear, deep amber with a medium large, frothy, slowly diminishing, white head. Sweetish, quite fruity-resiny aroma of orange jam, tangerine, lime, strawberry and some pine. Gently sweet, moderately bitter, rather fruity-resiny taste of orange jam, tangerine, grapefruit and some pine, followed by a medium long, quite bitter, gently resiny finish. Medium to full body, smooth and slightly creamy mouthfeel, soft carbonation. Classic DIPA, among the most convincing vintages of the Hopfenreiter series for me. Quite aromatic, malty, but also rather bitter, keeping everything balanced.

Bottle. Cloudy amber, golden head. Initially lightly cheesecakey west coast sensibilities, despite the modern hops, grape notes, gooseberry, citrus, nettles. medium light body, a hint caramel sweetness, then fruity hops, resinny, but all on the somewhat more subtle part of the spectrum. Intense hoppy, but quite drinkable.
