24 February 2019. Wieze Bierfestival - cheers to Meeki, Ama Deke & the lovely Anke! Clear dark golden, no head. Aroma of caramel, peanuts, cookie dough, brioche, grain, red apple, dark honey. Taste is light malty sweet, notes of red apple & honey, a bit nutty, and light spicy bitter with grain, yeast & bread, slightly toasted, leading to a dryish, grainy finish, more caramel, red apple & subtle honey. Medium body, slick texture, fizzy carbonation. It's a spéciale belge, alright.
