27 April 2019. At Zythos Bierfestival. Deputy Taster: Anke. Cheers to Ama Deke, Erwin, John & Meeki! Clear pale golden, unstable, frothy, off-white head. Aroma of unripe banana & apricot, lime, melon, grain, yeast, apple peel. Taste is light fruity sweet, ‘classic’ apple & pear, yeasty & grainy on a decent bready malty base, sourish touch, building up bitterness, leading to a dry, grainy, grassy hoppy finish where unripe fruit, yeast & bread linger. Medium body, slick texture, lively carbonation. Assertive Pilsner to say the least.
