Hops: Bravo, Chinook, Rakau, Citra, Cascade.
Intensive flavor and bitterness of American hops in black. Light roasted tones just add to why IPA is one of the most popular beer styles. Dry hopped with finest American hops.

# 920; 1/2018. Vynikající BIPA. Suchá, silně kouřková až uzená. Plná, výrazná a přitom skvěle pitelná.

Tap at Dno Pytle. Creamy, chocolatey aroma, dark malts nicely in evidence. Lean taste, dry, chocolate and citric hoppiness, with the malts coming slightly ahead. Nice overall, slightly too thin and dry, but a good beer.

On tap at Žil Verne Bratislava. Black coloured, medium sized creamy brown head, light chocolate and hops in the nose. Roasted malt, chocolate, citrus hops, touch of coffee and mild roasty and quite bitter finish. Pretty good but a bit thin for 6.3%.

Bottle split at Cotts Convention III, thanks to John, 20/05/17. Black with a well presented tan covering. Nose is cocoa powder, charr, mellow roast, burnt toffee, brown breads. Taste comprises chocolate, pine needle, charr, roasted bite, hint of coffee, dried berry fruits, biscuit crumb. Medium bodied, fine carbonation, semi drying close dashed with earthy hop bitterness. Respectable enough CDA.

20th May 2017; Cotteridge #3. We were all supposed to bring no more that 1.5 litres of beer. John (jmgreenuk) ignored that and brought 3 litres (4 x .75 litre bottles) plus numberous smaller ones. He is the reason I woke up on a train that had already left my station and I got home rather latter than planned! Anyway John, thanks for the .75 litre of this. Very dark brown body, tanned topping. Do I like Black IPA’s? Still not too sure about them to be honest. This one had a citrusy nose alongside a lot of maltiness and the taste was dominated by roasted malts rather than the hop content. I will try some more Black IPA’s before making my mind up on their likeability.
