330 ml bottle. Murky dark brown with a fluffy head. Toffee, dark chocolate, Scandinavian licorice, burn malt, some dried figs and dates, again toffee and vanilla, cigar, lemon zest. Malty chocolate sweetness, dry roasty hoppy bitterness. Medium to full bodied, oily texture, soft carbonated, dry roasty hoppy zesty bittersweet toffee finish. Very tasty!

From the bottle. Brown with a thin, beige head that goes creamy and lingers. Surprisingly for such a dark beer, the citrus dominates. The mild coffee tone is understated. Taste is pleasantly bitter, with hints of ashes and old coffee grounds. Finish is empty, with just a touch of coffee and resin bitterness. Medium body, slightly watery texture. Promising but not quite there.

330mml. bottle as part of a trade with Rhoihessegold. Many thanks! Tasted on the 14/09/2018 at «Mimosas». In short: Aroma is medium roasty caramel malts. Taste is malty and nutty leading to a slightly coffee finis. Medium dry. Next one please!
