On tap at the tiny tavern Lincoln. Off black colour with a thick head. Aroma is malty chocolate. The cherry is very subtle. Slight tartness. Medium body.

500ml bottle @ monthly tasting, Chez Sophie, Aug 21. Thanks Jeremy for bringing this from your homeland. Pours dark ruby brown, thinning off-white head. Aroma sees chocolate emerge alongside mild cherry hints. Taste continues with some pleasant chocolate and cherry notes, though body feels a touch thin. Nice mild sipper with enough of the intended flavour profile without appearing too sweet or full on.

9th August 2021: Shrewsbury Gathering at Chez Sophie. Five likely lads sharing beers. 500ml bottle taken by me; BB Feb 2022, obtained from Beers of Europe. Red hue to the dark body, tanned head that hung around. Smooth and pleasant with both a cherry and chocolate nose/flavour. Not quite a Black Forest Gateau, not sweet or viscous enough!
