19th July 2021; Shrewsbury Beer Share in Chez Sophie, five of us splitting 16 different beers, t'was a good night! Thanks Simon for this monster brew, 330ml bottle of lushness. Black bodied, off-white/beige top. Coconut front to the nose, calms down a bit in the taste, but it's there attacking the malty goodness and alcohol in this creamy and far to easy to drink Imp Stout; is it really 17% ABV?

330ml bottle @ Free-Dumb tasting, Chez Sophie, July 21. Lashings of cakey desert-like coconut and chocolate coming through on the nose, sweet oily palate. Decadent, creamy, unctious almost, but drinks exceptionally well for 17%, feeling around half its strength. A real pleasure to sip.

Bottle at home. Pours black, nose is cream, coconut, meaty, roasted, chocolate, taste is similar, quite sweet, a little floral. --- Beer merged from original tick of Coconut Abaddon on 20 Feb 2021 at 12:01 - Score: 8
