From its origins nestled high in the Bennachie Mountains, Torr Lager has come to rest by Scotland's North Sea coast. A crisp and refreshing beer with a smooth finish. The sea has now met the mountains. Worth the hike.

Bottle from Green's of Ellon. It pours a crystal clear deep gold with a thick, fluffy white head. The aroma is fairly sweet, soft bready malts, biscuit, bread & butter pudding, touch grass, hay and nuttiness. The taste is pleasantly crisp, grassy, straw, hay, pretty clean, sweet biscuity malt, bitter - sweet character, honey grain, floral accents and some peppery spice with a dry finish. Average body and moderate+ fizzy carbonation. Actually think this works quite well. Decent.

Bottle from Beers of Europe. Pours clear golden with a short-lived thin white head. Aromas of honey and lemon. Taste.is caramel and more lemon. Not that lager-like to me.

Bottle from Appellation Wines. Appearance - golden with gentle carbonation an creamy head that dissipates after a minute or two. Nose - honey, lemon and possibly caramel. Taste - creamy lemon and honey again. Palate - light bodied, fairly fresh on the finish. Overall - very much designed for easy drinking like an international lager. Not bad though.

330ml bottle from Beers of Europe: BB 6th Aug 2021. Drank at home during a tasting evening with my wife and son on 20th Feb 2021. Really enjoyed this malty Lager. Old gold in colour, fast fading white head; malty front to the nose and taste. Easy going drink with enough happening to test your senses.
