Dark amber to copper in colour with a toffee and floral hop nose and hints of tangerine. Malt caramel and biscuit nestle with the three aroma hops, Phoenix, Styrian Goldings and Cascade. Late hopping with citrusy Cascade cuts through the alcohol sweetness.
Stormstay has won may awards including the prestigious Champion Beer of Britain Silver award.

Cask @ Montys, Shrewsbury. Pours deep amber with a creamy off-white head. Aroma is sweet malts. Taste is a rather nice smooth ESB character. Caramel malts and dark fruits dominate. Not bad.

From cask @ The Diamond, Londonderry. Also one of those I've had yesterday, then the Evernote suddenly decided that I wasn't allowed to keep them for more than a few hours. Anuhows; This one has a quite cloudy looking brown amber, almost copper colored body. On the top there's a small and slowly islandy casky head, leaving lots of small dots down the sides of the glass. The aroma is a little bit soapy I suppose you could say. Mild fruity, some wood dryness. All in all quite mild, but still pleasant. Tastes quite soapy also. A nice malty sweetness to back it up though. Red berries and toffee apples. Red finish. Liked actually, in a casky twisted way. 07.06.2016

Tap at the White Swan, Solihull. Poured a clear medium amber with a frothy white head. The aroma is light malt yeast citrus. The flavour is light to medium bitter with a chewy malty resin hop bitter palate. Medium to light bodied with soft carbonation.

On cask at Square Sail, Lincoln UK - looks nice, a good deep ruby body, white head, rich nose of caramel, citrus and a taste of toffee. Very good.

Cask at Lattice House, King’s Lynn
Dark amber color. Light malt aroma, with very light impression of apples. Smooth and round mouthfeel, under carbonated, with decent malt and caramel flavor, good body, correct bitterness, small residual sweetness. Tastes like a Strong Ale, more drinkable, and without the vegetables that usually go with it.
Very pleasant choice.

Cask at Christian Firtal. Amber with a small white head. Fruity aroma with apple, plum and pear, with a touch of grass and hay. Sweetish fruity flavour with grassy hops and a rather bitter finish.
