A pint from the cask at The Tipsy, St Peter, Jersey. A very black colour with a creme that lasts. Tastes of hints of coffee, smoke and has a subtle bitter finish. Very good

ABV: 4.1%. Clear dark red brown colour with a large, frothy - creamy, good lacing, mostly to fully lasting, off-white head. Aroma is moderate malty, roasted - dark malt, roasted - sweet malt, smoke. Flavor is moderate sweet with a average duration, sweet malt, dark malt, roasted - ash, sweet dark malt. Body is medium, texture is oily to watery and smooth, carbonation is soft. [20190723]

Keg, half-pint in The Ship & Crown, St. Peter Port, Guernsey on 9th Sep 2019. Black with a tanned foaming head. Malty and chocolatey with a coffee grains undertone, nice.

On keg at the Cottage, Bristol. Near black in colour, with a thin, creamy, off-white, head. Camp coffee, a touch of milk chocolate sweetness, toasty malts and a lightly bitter finish. Fine.
