Dark fruit and delicate spice notes abound with all of the complexity of Belgian Abbey yeasts and the character of rich dark sugar balanced with an adequate bitterness to make this eminently drinkable and a great companion to cheeses of all varieties.

[33cl bottle from Beer52.] An opaque plum brown coloured pour with a ring of white head; aroma of brown sugar; quite lively in the mouth with muscavado sugar and malt; then a dry finish with a touch of banana. Not bad.

330ml bottle; BB 1st Oct 19. Poured into a Westmalle chalice at home 20th Dec 18. Really enjoyed this brew. Taken with some 'Camembert', a great match. Slight red hue to the brown body, beige head. Aroma had spices and dark fruits, with figs to the fore, as did the taste. Interesting and tasty.
